Good morning all!
Hope everyone had a well-rested weekend, and are ready to take on the week ahead :) Scroll down for news on progress, and enjoy the newly made brand video.
Shipping Progress
We wanted to let you all know that we are still working on getting out Smart-Pad 2's and about half or so of backers orders have been sent, with the remaining to be sent this week at a 20 per day pace.

A5Infinity Book Add-On
The few % of you who added on the Infinity A5 Notebook were asking about its ETA. With that being said, when we first launched this campaign for SmartPad 2 and included the Infinity book A5 as an unlockable goal, we were taking a big risk that in retrospect we should have not at that time, it was too much all at once for the average consumer to take in including all the features of the Smart-Pad 2, to really grasp what it was or what it was capable of, let alone the Infinity Book which also has its own features to be explained thoroughly.
At the end of the campaign, despite not raising enough capital, we continued to push for it in hopes we'd raise enough during the post-add-ons/backerkit presales and that would bring in enough for us to place an order for them at the same time as the Smart-Pad 2, both of which are super costly to make given all the components built-in. We certainly had big plans for it, and still do despite not raising the capital needed to have them ready today.
Every design here at Skyborne is dear to our hearts. Although we did not raise the capital needed to place it into production right away, it's also allowed us to perfect the concept and design of how it should look and function when it does finally get released in Spring 2022 if all goes to plan.
We get better as design maestros, and we can guarantee a well-put-together product that's cutting edge is something you can come to expect from us at Skyborne, and the wait will always be worth it. We are working with a new factory, that is an expert in this division of re-useable/scannable notebooks and for those who've added them as an "Add-On", we will keep you in the loop on progress.
We really did start Skyborne with nothing more than a vision, and the help of Kickstarter. Although we wish every campaign gets picked up by the media and raises over six figures for us to make everything run smoothly, it's not always the case, and as purely design heads here that have obsessed over how each product will work and look, it's clear that we have improvements to be made in other aspects of our business. We are forever thankful for your patience and understanding.
No matter what we will collectively ensure that those who ordered the add-on of the Infinity book will get them in the design that is most useable and a delight to use but are actively taking steps to ensure every new release minimizes these types of missteps from repeating itself again.

Smart-Pad 2® delivered our neighbors accidentally, shipments begin Thursday of this week!

Hello all!
Update
As per tracking VIA UPS: 1Z920Y542052704831 the Smart-Pad 2 has been delivered to our office building in Markham, but to a different sub-section and company, to our neighbors which was a mistake, solely on UPS. Just so we are clear, this is solely on UPS's carelessness. Directly.
Next steps
We have been on the phone with them all weekend, and all-day filling out a form to get them to re-deliver it to us since it's many heavy boxes containing the Smart-Pad 2. The good news is that it is in the vicinity, more than likely with our neighbor's next door.
This is public information, and you are all free to check that tracking to confirm, as I know a few of you have been very curious as to where they are.
FYI, we don't have a "Ken" which shows that was the person who signed off for it. We do have a Ken next door, so it's most likely him. As per UPS, the driver will trace it, pick it up, and re-deliver it to us within 2-4 days.
Importance of Smart-Pad 2 to Skyborne
Collectively, for all of us here at Skyborne, what has gone into this company and this launch includes our life savings, 401K, we are all in with Skyborne. When there is a delay, no one gets more affected or hurt than us, business-wise, emotionally, every way you can imagine.
So know that you have the right personnel looking after this and no one cares more than we do, this is our livelihoods. You all can expect tracking #s to get auto-sent ASAP to the emails we have on file as soon as we sort out this one final mishap, which again, was 100% UPS' fault, all public info that can be relayed to you by a UPS rep should anyone like to call and ask about this tracking #.

Smart-Pad 2® update
Hey!
Hope everyone is doing well :) Just wanted to let you all know that the Smart-Pad 2® has been picked up as per tracking from Calgary, which now shows a status of "On the way'.
Please allow about 6-8 business days for transport at least as this is the ETA given to us by our forwarder. Please anticipate a bit later than, or a bit earlier than that as we are not UPS and we just relay the updates they give us. We will begin shipping at about 30-50 units a day which should cover all backers within 2-3 days as soon as it's here.
We have been working overtime developing the ultimate passport holder, the iTravel MINI®. Featuring a magnetic pull tab for easy access and presenting before boarding, a built-in GPS tracker with its own app to locate it, a micro pen for filling out customs forms upon arrival, and a front pocket for your boarding pass/vaccine card.
